It's *ALIVE!*

After a trip to the thrift store to get a power supply, which I then custom-modified, and an order on Ebay to get and Old-Skool RF converter, I now have a functional Timex/Sinclair 1000! I bought this computer for $5 from the father of some of my oldest friends at some point in the 80s. It has built-in BASIC, is all one-piece, uses a tape recorder to save and load programs, and with its expansion module, it has a whopping 16k of memory.

Along with my functional Speak & Spell, this may well put me at the top of the local Obsolete Gear hill!

I'm very excited.
