PBF 2009

I had a great time at PBF this year. After original plans to have it at Camp Texlake were scuttled due to discrimination, we ended up back at our familiar spot at Bastrop State Park. Attendance was down due to re-scheduling and heat -- there were 53 people at the group meeting, though some had come and gone at that point. I got to perform with the beautiful and talented apryl_knight, who traded dancing sets with me on Saturday night. We were able to get away with both firedancing during a burn ban and amplified music after 10 PM, which was fortunate since it's very hard to squeeze that kind of thing in between the end of dinner and quiet hours. Thanks to all the hard-working volunteers who made the event possible.

Unfortunately not. :( I doubt I'll be able to make any other burns this year outside Austin. I've also informed the Transformus leadership that as long as they don't allow children, I'm not coming back. Too bad, it's a great burn, and I'd like to see you.

However, starting next year, it's my goal to get to Alchemy and Burning Man every year, so I might be able to catch you there.
