Master Cleanse Alpha

So I made my first batch of Master Cleanser a few minutes ago. It tastes pretty good. In a dream I was having this morning, I was anticipating getting back to my dorm room to get started on the cleanse, but was somehow distractingly tempted into violating it a few times before I even got the shit mixed. However, in real life, I've had nothing today except the Cleanser, and my goal is to continue until next Thursday when I will be heading up to my Mom's place in D/FW.

Prep wasn't too bad. I made only 1/2 batch for now, because I only have 1 1-liter bottle, though I have another smaller one for water. I used a too-small hand juicer, and got just shy of 3 tablespoons of lemon juice from each lemon. The cayenne doesn't seem super hot to me yet, although the website I'm using suggests that the pepper might get stronger from steepage.

So far I feel vaguely light-headed, but otherwise ok. I will post one update per day until I'm done. Some of them will probably be posted from the toilet.

Awesome.

Oh hey, you might already know this, but don't forget the purge part of the cleanse. The original master cleanse instructions suggested a Senna tea at night and a slat water rinse in the morning. I've done well just doing the salt water rinse part. Whatever you decide, it really makes all the difference to flush all that stuff out. Otherwise it takes longer to get to the "ok, I'm actually starting to feel pretty good" part of the cleanse. Day 3 is always the hardest for me.

Good luck!

Wow, I haven't heard from you *forever*! How are you?

The instructions I'm using are here:

http://themastercleanse.org/

They suggest only a salt-water purge in the evenings. I did it last night, and it *worked*. Thanks for the input, it's good to hear about other people's experience.
