I guess that's pretty clogged.

As part of the Casa Blue Flooding Adventures, 2008 Edition, I was attempting to clear a (definitely tree-root-based) clog in my clothes washer drain. It drains, but not fast enough to take the full 15-20 gallons of water coming out of the machine all at once. I tried snaking it again, which didn't really change anything, so next I moved to the expansion bladder. For those not familiar, it expands to plug the pipe, then forces water in the direction of the clog, hoping to blast through it. So I hooked it up, and checked inside to make sure the seal was good, which it seemed to be. When I went outside to turn off the water, I heard water flowing...

...on the *roof*. :)

Time for more root poison. I hope it's not an important tree.

I'm gonna rent a power snake from Home Depot as soon as I can. If that won't do it, it will be time to consider Extreme Measures.

Actually seeing the inside of my failing drain piping might be more than I could handle right now.
