Blogging from Hell

That Hell being, in particular, the inside of my 1995 Mazda 626, the Car That Won't Go Away. I've spend at least 6 hours yesterday and today inside the vehicle with no air conditioning or ventilation due to the fact that:

a) The vehicle doesn't run and
b) The mosquitoes on my property are capable of serving as 75% UV protection

We'll note that pretty much 100% of the work I have to do has to be done upside down under the dash *without* opening any of the doors or windows. The car used to run, but after I put a new battery into it, the fuel is no longer getting to the engine.

I can't really express...

...how I feel about being forced to use dial-up without drawing some pretty intense and justified fire from people who've actually experienced, say, sexual assault or the Holocaust, but from my whiny tall-white-man-of-privilege perspective, it's way, way worse than anything that's happened to anyone ever.

Ever.




I'd like to think my recent progress in using Emotional Self Management techniques to reduce my residual anger level will lead to a time when I don't have as many horrifically violent random thoughts, but:

1) ...it's sure as Hell not going to happen as long as I'm still using dial-up and

2) ...in the meantime I'm going to direct those thoughts in practical Plans-Of-Action targeted to anyone trying to take my broadband away.

Be careful with that electric edger!

A mistake could be *very* costly.
