That Hell being, in particular, the inside of my 1995 Mazda 626, the Car That Won't Go Away. I've spend at least 6 hours yesterday and today inside the vehicle with no air conditioning or ventilation due to the fact that:

a) The vehicle doesn't run and
b) The mosquitoes on my property are capable of serving as 75% UV protection

We'll note that pretty much 100% of the work I have to do has to be done upside down under the dash *without* opening any of the doors or windows. The car used to run, but after I put a new battery into it, the fuel is no longer getting to the engine.

I'm trying to find the fuel pump relay, which the shop manual I downloaded the other night for $12 claims is in a fairly obvious location next the the Engine Control Module --

HOLY SHIT! The mosquito I'm roasting, right at this very moment, with my Zap Racket, is *singing* to me as it burns! It sounds just like normal wing-buzzing, but the pitch is changing on something like a Japanese scale! This may be the most satisfying art form in the history of humankind!

I've managed to half-destroy the air distribution system on the passenger side before discovering that what might be the ECM was, in fact, some kind of large radiator (the heater, maybe?) My next guess, removed at extreme effort, turned out to be an airbag sensor that won't likely be back in it's original location to protect the small Mexican children that will inevitably be riding around in my car later ever again. I can't find additional info online or at Autozone.com, and I'm not sure what else to try, now, short of actually ripping out the back seat and testing the wires at the fuel pump.
