Master Cleanse Wrapup

Sitting on the toilet enjoying my first large bowel movement seems like the ideal time to finish my Master Cleanse series for interested parties.

Master Cleanse Day 4 Summary

Due to the fact that I spend almost two hours of yesterday driving in 103 degree heat in a car with no air conditioning, which is draining even in the best of health, it was a little hard to differentiate between cleanse-based fatigue and heat stroke. However, overall I felt slightly weaker than Day 3, but otherwise ok.

Master Cleanse Day 3 Summary

I was more tired yesterday, and had more annoying stomach cramping, though it wasn't bad, simply more noticeable than before. I got up earlier, which mean that I had to meter out my lemonade over a longer period of time. Overall I functioned pretty well, getting a few errands done, reading, and doing some computer work. My purge ended up taking way too long, repeatedly being almost over, then not being over. However, I *am* noticing that I'm more motivated to get out of bed when I'm hungry, and that may actually be a clue to helping myself get up earlier in general. If I deny myself food after a certain time, I might be more encouraged to get up earlier in general. Today I got up before 10 AM, which is nearly unheard of for me.

Master Cleanse Day 2 Summary

Day two went pretty well. I didn't experience any serious hunger pains, and when I felt hungry I chugged some lemonade and then some water, and I was fine. I felt ok waking up, though I didn't get up until about 3 PM, which really isn't abnormal for me. I tried our Braun juicer instead of doing it by hand, and it's probably *slightly* less messy. I felt mildly light-headed during parts of the day, much of which I spent outside staining floor trim, but not as bad as the day before. My flush wasn't as spectacular, but it still happened. Overall I felt surprisingly fine.

The most interesting thing was going to the grocery store.

Master Cleanse Alpha

So I made my first batch of Master Cleanser a few minutes ago. It tastes pretty good. In a dream I was having this morning, I was anticipating getting back to my dorm room to get started on the cleanse, but was somehow distractingly tempted into violating it a few times before I even got the shit mixed. However, in real life, I've had nothing today except the Cleanser, and my goal is to continue until next Thursday when I will be heading up to my Mom's place in D/FW.

Two Shades of Brown

I'm starting my Master Cleanse today, and will be posting periodic updates of my condition here.

In other news, I got 80% done cutting the baseboards for the floor today. Tomorrow I will finish cutting and do all of the staining. By tomorrow night or Sunday at the latest, the floor will be 100% done! I've already had several near-religious experiences seeing the new floor at flattering times, and I'm looking forward to weeks of spontaneous orgasms once it's completely finished.

Mastering the Cleanse

I'm going to be trying my first Master Cleanse here in a day or two. Except for the occasional date, now is a good time for me to try it. It also jives with my general program of avoiding allergy-causing foods and saving money on food this week, which was very expensive up-front. I'm going to try for a five-day cleanse the first time. If it works out well, I may make it a regular thing, perhaps every three to six months or so.

I also got two callbacks from resumes I sent out today, and I'll be calling back the first prospect tomorrow. The company actually looks both really cool and like a place where my skills and interests will be appreciated. If I could land a 6-month contract, I could raise enough money to pay for at least a year of living, which would really help my fledgling freelancing work.
