While cleaning up from the butterscotch pudding session was pretty fantastic...
...it definitely can't match cleaning up from the CHOCOLATE pudding session.
And *this* time, the dogs can't help!
Such tragedy.
Gonna be fun to look in the mirror when everything is reflectively clean, though. The New Best Recipe
can be a *messy* influence!
When I made the butterscotch pudding, it tasted fantastic, but the texture wasn't as creamy as I would have liked. It was slightly lumpy and grainy. I did strained the final result before noticing this, but I used a much coarser screen than for the chocolate, the corn starch was at least 5 years old, *and* I didn't pre-sift all the ingredients. The chocolate pudding, on the other hand, was fully pre- and post-strained, and seems smooth as silk (or other things) as it goes into the refrigerator. Having successfully ingested nearly all the leftovers, I'm already pretty wired, and there's *no* *fucking* *way* I'm going to wait until tomorrow to sample the results after the 3-hour minimum fridge set time.
I may need drugs to sleep tonight.
