The End of Teddy Bears
Jan. 13th, 2011 06:20 pmOne of the many original comics I drew when I was supposed to be paying attention in junior high was Teddybear Eliminators. It was basically Hitler for Teddybears, with the hapless creatures being horribly murdered in a huge variety of ways. I hadn't thought about them for many years, but I found myself randomly going through The Official Books of Stuff, I remembered them.
I've decided to feature them in my first iOS game as a way of exorcising old demons. This decision is complicated by the fact that a big thrust of my game design purpose is to move away from the traditional, ultra-violent model used by most modern games. The original version of TE(tm) couldn't be more violent, so making a non-violent interpretation will be challenging. I have some ideas about how it will work.
And I'll be submitted it to the App Store in mid-February. And because I'm a Godinite, that's non-negotiable deadline.
It's time to ship.
