Sleeping in a World with Computers
Nov. 13th, 2010 01:08 amI'm trying out a new application called F.lux. The basic idea is that staring a computer screen continually tells your body "it's daylight!", all the time. This is a problem at night, when your body would normally get tired because of changes in the light spectrum that happen as the sun goes down. F.lux emulates this on your computer screen, changing the colors slightly and slowly over time to help your body stay in rhythm. I've only had it installed for 15 minutes, it's 1 AM, and I'm already feeling sleepier. It's free, and very easy to install.
