More Things You Don't Care About!

errantemberAfter my victory with the sink, it was time to destroy another long-time annoyance, the un-balanced fan in my work PC power supply!
It's one of those *really* annoying intermittent problems where every fifth time or so, the fan starts buzzing liked crazy. About 90% of the time, it eventually stops. It was so hard to nail down, despite 15 years of computer teching, that I had to wait until it became constant and had to disassemble the PC power supply *while the computer was running* (naturally using highly conductive, all-metal tools) to finally nail it down. I took the fan out, cleaned the hell out of both sides, had a brief Burning Man flashback as blowing into the power supply caused an instant facial white-out, and now it's nearly silent.
I'm blaming all this productivity on actually being up at dawn.
