Down with Coconut Oil!
Jan. 20th, 2009 12:34 amRecent food testing revealed a reaction to coconuts. I've known to avoid sodium lauryl sulfate, which is often derived from them, for years, as it causes canker sores inside my mouth. Once I cut it out, the sores virtually disappeared. Now, though, I've become conscious of how many different kind of *soaps* coconut and palm oil are in, including my hand soap, my shampoo, my shower soap, and most anti bacterial soaps. I've finally found a product that uses only saponified olive oil from Kiss My Face, which I'm trying now instead. When I think about all the SLS I've been exposed to in my life, it's not really *surprising* that I would have a reaction to it! I have to wonder if, after avoiding these products for six months or so, the "allergy" will go away.

good luck finding sls and coconut free stuffs.
my roommate in college used Kiss my face. Good stuff.
