I found it!

The very first thing that happened on the Day of the Garage Sale was that I strode out into the sunlight, Tilley hat on, ready to protect me from the rigors of 8 hours of sunlight, and it blew the fuck off my head and was *instantly* gone! I looked around for it as best I could with people already showing up early, but I never found it that day, and was worried it was lost forever. However, a brief look in the back yard today found it for me, which means it's time to pack it up and send it in to get fixed or replaced. Tilley's have a lifetime warranty on workmanship and materials, and mine has a messed-up brim wire that makes it look bad.

It would have been a little hard to send it in to get fixed without actually, say, *having* it, though.

yay! Glad to hear you found it. You wouldn't be fully you without your hat. ;)

Do you like my hat?

Invisible hats are *so* much easier to maintain, though!

I disagree. I find it much easier to maintain hats that are visible, but have no physical substance. No stains, and hat tricks are *killer*.

The Universe knew you wouldn't get off your ass and send it in unless it was taken away for a little while.
