Day two went pretty well. I didn't experience any serious hunger pains, and when I felt hungry I chugged some lemonade and then some water, and I was fine. I felt ok waking up, though I didn't get up until about 3 PM, which really isn't abnormal for me. I tried our Braun juicer instead of doing it by hand, and it's probably *slightly* less messy. I felt mildly light-headed during parts of the day, much of which I spent outside staining floor trim, but not as bad as the day before. My flush wasn't as spectacular, but it still happened. Overall I felt surprisingly fine.

The most interesting thing was going to the grocery store.

I could understand how someone who hates being on the Cleanse might find doing so torturous, but I found it mostly -- irrelevant. Of the ten thousand items they have at Central Market, I was interested in precisely two. *Everything* else was this strange carnival of useless food. It's very clear that one purpose of the Master Cleanse is to make one aware of how much time, effort, money, and attention one generally devotes to food, *especially* if it's a default, like it is for me. Done doing something? Time to look in the refrigerator. Or the cupboard. Or *somewhere*. Now, instead, I don't even think about it. It's strangely liberating, and so far not too painful.

Also, be aware these are being posted the day after, so I can summarize the entire day.

It's not surprising that you have similar feelings. This particular version is taken to the extreme, because the entire decision process is short-circuited completely. You don't "shop", you don't have to read any labels, you just buy lemons and maple syrup, and then you leave. Or you wander around watching people in this alien theme park and wonder how you're suddenly not one of them for a few days.
