Depends on the mood and setting. I use music a lot more in a kinky setting than otherwise, and I have several playlists of industrial, harder rock, dirty songs, and mindfucks for all that.

In more intimate settings, I honestly prefer to focus on the sounds of my partner and myself, but I've been known to play a mutually loved CD of excellent music: anything from trip hop to jam rock, it just has to be intricate and not too distracting from the mood. Trip hop is probably the most well-rounded for this purpose; I highly recommend Esthero.

I don't usually play music during happy nakey fun time; as several others have mentioned, it's the sounds my lovers make that really does it for me.

For scene music, I love E.S. Posthumous. It's gotten to the point that whenever we hear that music, Master wants to beat me. Very Pavlovian!

Their album, "Unearthed", is my favorite. There's not a bad song on there.

Those are both still favorites for me. I got the first Enigma album when my Dad let me borrow his Miata for the first time when I was in high school, and cruised around listening to it for hours.
