Maybe you could make up a story that you saw someone else being mean to their baby at Burning Man and you decided to steal it for a few days to teach them a lesson. I would have to be there to see how people would react.
There should be substantial resources around for people bringing small children to Burning Man. Not an easy task, but not an original one, either.
