...that Austin only gets 2 inches less rain per year than Seattle? I was surprised, too. In Austin we get it all at twice, once in the spring and once in the fall. If you actually want to have it available the rest of the time, it has to be stored somewhere.
Austin is also at the same latitude (30') as Cairo, and it's longitude (97') is only 3' east of the Great American Desert.
