I can't really express...
Oct. 10th, 2007 02:51 am...how I feel about being forced to use dial-up without drawing some pretty intense and justified fire from people who've actually experienced, say, sexual assault or the Holocaust, but from my whiny tall-white-man-of-privilege perspective, it's way, way worse than anything that's happened to anyone ever.
Ever.
I'd like to think my recent progress in using Emotional Self Management techniques to reduce my residual anger level will lead to a time when I don't have as many horrifically violent random thoughts, but:
1) ...it's sure as Hell not going to happen as long as I'm still using dial-up and
2) ...in the meantime I'm going to direct those thoughts in practical Plans-Of-Action targeted to anyone trying to take my broadband away.
Be careful with that electric edger!
A mistake could be *very* costly.
