It is no longer hip, sexy, or in any way relevant to attempt to dress like, look like, or, really, even identify with Jenny from the L-word.

I was just as into her for a few seasons as you were, but it's over. Forever.

The fact that I see evidence on the website that she came back after floating away (Forever, we'll note) in the boat during last season may well have reduced the chance I ever tune into an otherwise fantastic show to zero.

I'm sorry, but even though she's Canadian, I never warmed to her, never liked the way she dressed, and never, ONCE, wanted to eat her out. Honest.

Jennifer, now... *sigh*

Now I'm confused.

The damning of a fellow Canadian, however, definitely seems to reflect the gravity of my mood.

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you. I meant Jennifer Beals. I'm a Flashdance fan, true confessions... (legwarmers make me hot).

Eh. There are quite a few Canadians I wouldn't do. :P

Not only is Jennifer Beals hot, but she ages really well. I have very little use for her character on the show, but only because of past negative experiences with egomaniacal control freaks.

It would be an interest exercise to imagine fucking each of the characters on the show, especially since really getting into it might require a mental sex change. It's too bad I almost never actually put any work into sexual fantasies.

Oh. Well hm. Maybe we could collaborate on that somehow... seeing as how I've imagined sex with pretty much all the characters on that show already (except for Jenny! Ick!) :P

It's easier to correlate your texting style with your body language now that we've actually hung out a little bit.

I was totally into Jenny for quite some time. I could go back and try to figure out at what point I started hating her, but it's probably a waste of time. The place where I noticed the transition was in my reaction to people emulating her at dance clubs. At first I was like "Hey! Cool! Hot! I'm dancing near Jenny!"

Now I have this almost uncontrollable urge to leave the dance floor whenever a JennyClone shows up. And it takes a *lot* to get me off the dance floor.

Random hatred can be fun, as long as no one gets hurt. :)

You can hear the laugher, right? :P

I first saw Mia in Exotica, an absolutely brilliant movie by her husband, Atom Egoyan, and if you've not seen it, you need to go find it... (Canadian, natch). She was luscious in it, and I think part of my disappointment in her in L-Word (a show that's usually guaranteed to get me horny, btw) is that she turned her natural appeal in to a parody of her natural perversion. I had great hopes for her; such a waste...

no idea what you are referring to, since I am only up to season 3...but it didn't take even that long for me to really despise jenny. serious problems in that girl...
now shane...omg. I lust her SOSOSOSOSOSO much!!! from the very beginning, and once we started getting more into her character, well, by season 3 I just loved her...
and then of course, you gotta love a tennis pro, cuz at least she is working on her issues, and has great potential as a cool human. mmm...tennis butt.

Gah! I hadn't even finished the second season yet. Ah well. I found her much more attractive in Crow II: City of Angels. I find the actress (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000477/) skinny to the point of unhealthiness, and her dishonesty in her relationships squashed any turn-on fairly quickly into the show. I like the clothing style, though. *shrug

I haven't even started the second season yet, but I hated that bitch from the start.

Shane, now? Shane is awesome.

Aw, sweetie, give it up for the crazy chicks... :)

But there had to be a true crazy psycho chick to balance out the show -- it *is* a soap opera, after all. I love watching the L Word at L Word parties at people's houses. They play the " which character do you think you're most like ? " and then everyone tells you which one they think you are.

I'll let you guess which one they tell me I am. But the real question is : which one are you, mister? LOL

I definitely have more empathy for Shane than any other character, but the show doesn't exactly have any real poly role models. :( I keep hoping to see some kind of respect for responsible, long-term, non-monogamous relationships, but so far it's all been a dirty tease.

In general, though, I think it's a great show. But, if Jenny stays on it, not necessarily a great show that's worth watching anymore.
