Finely crushed eggshells *totally* work, like Ajax, for scrubbing hard food stains off the stove, but without the chlorine stench. I'm *amazed* at how effective they are. Echo crushed a bunch before she left, and I had been ignoring them until now, but hot diggity damn are they effective!

I didn't realize the chickens were also producing scrubbing powder.

Go chickens!

When I break open the egg, I use hot water and scrub the remaining fleshy part out of the shell, so only the shell remains. I just do it with my hands. Then they need to be dried.

The fragment size is between grains of sand on the top end and powder on the lower end. Most of it is toward the smaller part of in between. I think she used a mortar and pestal to crush it after it was dry.

Congratulations on the eggs! Doesn't it feel fabulous! More will be forthcoming.
