Reaquainting Myself with My Palm
Aug. 19th, 2009 12:06 amSo I own a Palm Centro. I got it because I wanted to snub the nanites sent by Steve Jobs up the keys from my Mac and into my brain telling me to buy an iPhone. Overall I like it, and as I'm getting into mobile app development again, I'd like to be able to write a little application for it. I would *prefer* to write something portable, so it would be easy to continue with the new application on what I get next.
At first I had a lot of problems getting the Palm Developer Network to work for me to get the latest tools, but it seems to be working better now. I'm leaning, at this point, toward developing it as a Java Midlet for J2ME (Java for Small Shit, for those unfamiliar) which will help with portability and re-usability.
Time to brush up on my Java.
