Drupaltized for *real* this time!
Feb. 11th, 2009 02:04 amI've been beating my head against the wall trying to install Drupal on the RadioMac for several weeks. I have a bunch of projects on hold right now because I can't get it working, including my official professional site, which I really need up to I can make business cards, etc. I finally gave up doing it fully manually and switched back to MAMP, which pre-installs compatible and tested versions of Apache, PHP, and MySQL. I *finally* got both Drupal 5.15 and 6.9 working on my system! No error messages, no missing GD, no whining about cron running. Both versions are functioning 100% error free.
Tomorrow I will actually add *content!*
I'm also shopping for hosting services. I've had at least one vote for Dreamhost, though I have some concerns about the speed of SQL queries on them using Drupal. For now my websites will probably be pretty low traffic, but I can reasonably assume I will eventually have some social network stuff with 100+ users on it. Any other recommendations?
