Some time ago, in an effort to help simply the accounting of my writer's group, I created an LJ program called The Enforcer that does the number crunching and vomits out the weekly status of each contributor. Up until now, I've been running it and posting the results manually, but tonight I finally took the time to tie together all the pieces to run automatically.

This is the first time I've ever set something lose on the Internet. Hopefully my fears are warrantless...

I noticed that I had gotten a few comments on my previous chicken post without getting any e-mail notifications. I also heard that LJ got hit by a denial of service attack recently. At any rate, I checked my settings, and my e-mail notification had somehow been de-activated. I turned it back on, but you might want to check yours.

I just got a Palm Centro, but I haven't found a good way to get fully integrated LJ usage from it:

1) All the clients I've found are post-only. They don't allow you to read other people's posts.

2) The built-in web browser, Blazer, doesn't seem to work with LJ at all. When I try to go to any specific post, it tries to save it as a text file instead of displaying it on the screen.

3) When I try to respond to posts from within Yahoo web mail (accessed through the included Mail client) it doesn't work because some of the keys used for typing (spacebar, backspace, and the 'm' key, for example) are mapped to other e-mail tasks, making it impossible to actually write in the text you want to reply with.

Since it's fairly obvious that the only reason the Centro was developed was for everyone to hear more about my exciting life on the couch with my dogs, this is all pretty surprising.

Anyone else found a better way to to LJ from their Palm or mobile device?
